By taxi

From Hong Kong island a taxi to the start will take less than an hour and cost a little under HKD300 (about USD40). From Kowloon the journey will take about 45 minutes and cost about HKD200 (about USD 25).
By public transport
If you are taking a bus or minibus to the Start, it involves a change in Sai Kung Town.
The following schedule is for reference only and is subject to change by the relevant transport companies. Please check with the relevant transport companies for the most up to date information.
Part (1) – To Sai Kung Town from various places in the city
From Kowloon
There are two options:
(A) Bus no. 92: From Diamond Hill MTR/Railway Station Bus Terminus. Starts from 6 am, every 30 minutes.
(B) Minibus no. 1A : From Choi Hung (MTR) Station. Starts from 6.30 am, leaves when full.
From Hong Kong Island
There are two options:
(A) Take the MTR to Hang Hau (MTR) Station. From Hang Hau (MTR) Station, take Minibus no. 101M. 101M starts from 5.30 am, leaves when full.
(B) Take the MTR to Choi Hung (MTR) Station. From Choi Hung (MTR) Station, take Minibus no. 1A . 1A starts from 6.30 am, leaves when full.
Part (2) – From Sai Kung Town to Pak Tam Chung
Bus no. 94: Starts from 6 am, every 30 minutes
Minibus no. 9: Starts from 6.15 am, every 30 minutes

The Finish Point is located at the Rotary Club Park on Tai Mo Shan Road in Tai Mo Shan Country Park off Route Twisk (“Tsuen Wan into Shek Kong”).

By Event shuttle bus
A shuttle bus will go between the Finish Point and Tsuen Wan underground train (MTR) station. Tsuen Wan is the nearest town from the Finish. The service will operate from 5:30 pm on 23 January 2027 to 2.30 pm on 24 January 2027, leaves when full. The service is complimentary.
Please note that Tai Mo Shan Road leading to the Finish Point will be closed from 08:00 on 23 January to 17:00 on 24 January 2027.
No participants’ cars or taxis are allowed to access or stay on Tai Mo Shan Road or the Finish Point (Rotary Club car park) during that time.
By public transport
Bus no. 51 stops at the junction of Route Twisk and Tai Mo Shan Road (about 3 minutes walk from the Finish Point) and goes to Tsuen Wan Railway Station, from where it is easier to get a taxi or other public transport. However, the service does not operate throughout the night – it stops at around 11 pm and resumes at 6 am. Every 30 – 40 minutes.
We understand that supporters may want to reach the checkpoints. Please note that only some are accessible by road, others can only normally be reached on foot.
Start – Pak Tam Chung: car accessible (limited parking available)
CP1 – East Dam: The road to East Dam will be closed on race days so no vehicles will be able to access the CP.
CP2 – Sai Wan Pavillion: taxi or public transport (no private vehicles unless with special permit)
CP3 – Pak Tam Au: taxi or public transport (no private vehicles unless with special permit)
CP4 – Pak Sha O Youth Hostel: taxi or public transport (no private vehicles unless with special permit)
CP5 – Yung Shue O: taxi (no private vehicles unless with special permit)
CP6 – Kei Ling Ha (Sai Sha Road): taxi or public transport (extremely limited space for parking available)
CP7 – Gilwell Camp: taxi (very limited parking available)
CP8 – Beacon Hill: generally only accessible on foot (about an hour’s hike from the nearest road)
CP9 – Shing Mun Dam: car accessible (very limited parking available)
CP10 – Leadmine Pass: generally only accessible on foot (about an hour’s hike from the nearest road)
Finish – Rotary Club Park: take Event shuttle bus from Tsuen Wan MTR. Look out for shuttle bus with a HK100 logo on its windscreen. (No parking at Finish point available)

Start, CP1 to CP5 apply also to The Half
Start, CP1 and CP2 apply also to The Third
Summary
After the start it is easy to reach CP3 Pak Tam Au (28km), CP4 Pak Sha O Youth Hostel (36km) as well as CP6 Kei Ling Ha / Sai Sha Road / Shui Long Wo (52km) by public transport.
The road to East Dam (CP1) will be closed on race days so there is no vehicular access to East Dam (CP1).
After CP6 none of the checkpoints are directly accessible by public transport, but it is possible to reach CP9 Shing Mun (80km) by walking for about 20 minutes from the minibus bus stop.
Detailed instructions
From the start (Pak Tam Chung in Chinese 北潭涌) there is a green 16-seater minibus (#7) which goes to CP4 (Pak Sha O Youth Hostel). CP4 is on Hoi Ha Road on the left side and takes about 10 minutes to reach from the start. From the start, the #7 minibus departs every 30 minutes, takes about 10 minutes.
The first runners could arrive at CP3 as early as 08:30am and CP4 as early as 09:00am. To travel to CP6 Kei Ling Ha / Shui Long Wo / Sai Sha Road (52km, where drop bags are available) requires taking the green minibus #7 from Hoi Ha Road to Sai Kung town. The journey is about 30 minutes. You can choose to get off the minibus a bit earlier at Mak Pin (麥邊) instead of all the way to Sai Kung and take the same buses (KMB #99 or KMB #299) to CP6.
At Sai Kung (which has restaurants and shops) take the double-decker bus (KMB #99 or KMB #299) and get off at stop “Shui Long Wo” on Sai Sha Road. The journey should be about 15 minutes, departs every 20 minutes.
The first runners could arrive at CP6 as early as 11.00am.
After CP6 you can either go to CP9 Shing Mun (城門水塘)(80km) which is slightly complicated and involves a 20 minute walk, or to the finish line. Either way you will first need to take double decker bus KMB#299 (carrying on in the direction you came from Sai Kung) to Sha Tin (departs every 20 mins and takes less than half an hour).
From Sha Tin Central Bus Terminus you need to take the bus to Tsuen Wan (KMB #49X) (departs every 12 minutes). Jump off at Tsuen Wan Chung On Street.
From Tsuen Wan Chung On Street to CP9 Shing Mun (in Chinese 城門水塘) take green 16- seater minibus #82 to Shing Mun Reservoir. Jump off at the reservoir and walk with the reservoir on your left for about 20 minutes. Look out for monkeys and expect them to steal any food you’re eating! You will see the CP on the right in a BBQ area. The first runners will likely reach CP9 at about 2:00pm.
To reach the finish line retrace your steps and take minibus #82 back to Tsuen Wan.
From Tsuen Wan to the finish line take double-decker bus (KMB #51 from Tsuen Wan MTR station) and jump off at the country park stop. Then walk into Rotary Club Park (in Chinese 大帽 山扶輪公園) where the finish is located. The bus departs every 15 minutes between 6:20 and 15:20, every 30 minutes between 15:20 and 19:20 and every 60 minutes between 19:20 and 23:20.
Alternatively, look for the HK100 shuttle bus from Tsuen Wan MTR exit B3 or E (under the footbridge of Tsuen Wan Luk Yeung Sun Chuen) which should leave for the finish every 30 minutes or so between 5:30pm on Saturday to 11am on Sunday.
